Events Lined Up For Tanoa Group’s Support Towards Cancer

The Tanoa Hotel Group will launch its support towards the Fiji Cancer Society today in a big way.
Back-to-back events have been planned at the Tanoa Plaza Hotel in Suva today.
The first event is to give a treat to children who have cancer followed by the official launch.
Tanoa Plaza Hotel manager, Mere Rakoroi, said the initiative is to simply to say “We care and to basically create wide spread awareness.”
She said the interesting bit about the lunch would be the youngest cancer patient is two years old and the oldest is 16 years old.
“We are also hoping to have some of the senior citizens suffering with cancer also join us,” she said.
What’s on todaY at the
Tanoa Plaza Hotel
– 10.30am: The kids start coming in, the patients start arriving. They will then be treated to games and meals – sort of a kiddy party. Games will include musical chairs, balloon popping, dancing (Tanoa Group senior managers with children patients), balloon dancing and so on.
– 12pm: They will be treated to a special lunch. Minister for Health and Medical Services, Jone Usamate will be the special guest at the lunch.
– 3.30pm: Fiji Cancer Society launches Pinktober.
– 6pm: Cocktail event with the President, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau, as the special guest
– Reddy Group (Tanoa Hotels, Clyde Equipment, Insurance Holdings Ltd) chairman, YP Reddy will be part of all three events today.
