The festival of Diwali is associated with firecrackers and decoration. However another important aspect of Diwali is sweets.

Days before the event, families start preparing their favourite delicacies for this auspicious day which would be celebrated on October 23 this year.

They are usually busy with work and house chores which do not leave them much time to prepare sweets.

In Fiji, people also celebrate this event in a grand way and shops are usually busy during this time around everywhere.
