The Ratu Sukuna Bowl rugby challenge is already on even before its official launch next week. Dickie Bird said defending champions Police sent their team of officials to Sigatoka on Tuesday to check-up their camp site and make all necessary arrangements. This has been their preparation ground for the past years.

To their shock when they arrived they were told that the Army team had been camping at Talenavuruvuru for the past month where champion Nadroga coach Esala Nauga is in charge of their training sessions.

Dickie Bird said the holders have now shifted their training base to Pacific Harbour.

Church and Tax

Well a prominent Pentecostal church has started its collection on a Trust Fund drive among its members. Dickie Bird said the intention of the project is good.

However, since churches are registered under the Charitable Trust Act he is hoping that proper procedures are followed and no tax laws are breached by operating such businesses.

Heat hurts

It’s amazing that anti-Government types on social media are happy criticising, ridiculing and condemning.

However, according to Dickie Bird’s observation, as soon as they get a taste of their own medicine some quickly run to report it to the authorities.
