What happened: Shop N Save Nadi defeated Finance Pacific Nadroga 3-0 in the second semifinal of the Courts Inter-District Championship at the ANZ Stadium in Suva yesterday.

The Jettsetters started strongly to unsettled Nadroga in the match.

Goals to Ratu Josefata Dugucagi, Samuela Drudru and Veresa Toma steered Nadi to victory.

Dugucagi netted first goal in the 15th minute, Drudru in the 64th and Toma finished it off with a beautiful shot to steer Nadi to win.

Star Turn: Drudru’s stylish play upfront made a big difference in the match.

In the 64th minute Drudru lobbed over Nadroga goalkeeper Alifereti Baleloa to set the platform for Nadi’s win with his second goal.

Comments: Nadi coach Kamal Swamy praised his players.

“It was a tough game and I thank my players for playing according to plan.

“Suva will be a tough team in the final and we are working on a strategy to beat them.”

Nadroga coach Joseph Nand said Nadi was a better side.

“They are a better side and wish them well.”
