On The road Celebration

The Walk on Walk Strong (WOWS) Kids Walk Team had Fiji flags on their wheelchairs and vans to celebrate Fiji’s 44 years of Independence.
The team had managed to cover 168 kilometres by last Thursday. They also took time out to visit six children who were admitted at the Children’s Ward of Sigatoka Hospital.
The WOWS team, which still had Laughing Samoan Eteuati Ete in their walk around Viti Levu, had received positive support during the past four days.
Many people from the various communities the group visited joined in the walk and even contributed financially.
The organisation’s communications officer, Monica Waqanisau said the support from people was amazing.
“What has kept the walkers going were the reactions we got from the people we met and the messages of support from people at home and on social media,” Ms Waqanisau said.
The WOWS team is targeting to raise $100,000 through this walk on behalf of children suffering from cancer and other life threatening sicknesses.
