All Freight Logistics Suva qualified for the final for the 13th time after beating Lautoka 2-1 in the 2014 Courts Inter District Championship semifinals yesterday at the ANZ Stadium, Suva.

Nadi beat Nadroga 3-0 in the second semifinal match last night.

The capital side will face Jack’s Nadi in the finals which would be repeat of the Fiji FACT final.

“We have played Nadi before and they are a tough team to beat; we faced them in the Fiji FACT finals and they beat us so we are expecting an even tougher game,” Singh said.

“As for our game against Lautoka, it was hard but I expected the boys to perform at their best and that’s what they did and we will be taking the same approach like we did in the semis against Nadi in the finals.”

All Freight Logistics Suva will face Nadi in the finals at 4pm at the ANZ Stadium today.

What happened?

In the 28th minute, Suva’s luck turned around with a quick chip of the ball from Napolioni Qasevakatini past Lautoka’s Levi Tawake, 1-0. Suva was on fire after that goal and made use of Lautoka’s struggle to regain formation as the second goal was scored a minute later by Pita Rabo with a brilliant header, 2-0.

Lautoka came back more composed in the second spell as players got their combinations under control displaying brilliant football especially from Peni Finau and Maika Waqa. Finau was the standout player for the Lautoka side.  In the 85th minute, Suva made a mistake which resulted in a own goal by Waisake Navunigasau.

Star turn

Suva’s goalkeeper Ulaisa Tamanisau, Pita Rabo and Napolioni Qasevakatini stood out.

Big play

Lautoka’s Jone Nailogi who came on in the second half and Jone Vono were really desperate for an equaliser and gave the Suva defenders a tough day.
