The Water Authority had its awards night at Labasa Civic Centre last Saturday.

Staff members from around the country attended the event which started with their sports day at Subrail Park and ended with the awards night.

Authority regional manager Northern Romuluse Mataitoga said the event was to bring all staff together.

“We have staff from all around Fiji and we are so happy that the North is hosting this year,” Mr Mataitoga said.

“The main reason of the sports day and awards night was to allow staff members and their families to come together and get to know each other and have a day of fun.

“It is important for the authority to host the staff and their families on such occasions because with the support of families and friends, our staff are able to go to work every day.”

Meanwhile, next year’s sports day and awards night will be held in Suva.
