CJP Gives Breakfast To Students

Students and teachers of Draiba Primary School were delighted when they were given breakfast serves at the school yesterday.
The breakfast serves of Weet-Bix, honey and yoghurt was an initiative by CJ Patel and Company Ltd promoting healthy eating.
The school’s head teacher, Teresia Suka said the school was grateful for the visit and that the breakfast was a great initiative.
“We are always telling our students about healthy eating and balanced diet. I’m happy that in this initiative we are not only saying but also demonstrating,” Ms Suka said.
She said the types of foods included in the serves were certainly healthy and would give students strength enabling them to focus in class.
“When students are well-fed they will perform much better in class,” Ms Suka said.
Marketing co-ordinator, Emily Mani said the initiative was a school programme they did yearly since 2013.
She said they randomly picked schools and visited them when their proposal was accepted by the schools.
“We have a presentation of the products and the meals are served. We visit six schools monthly, going to two schools in a week,” Ms Mani said.
