A mobile company Fiji has renewed its sponsorship of  the Suva Volleyball club league which starts tomorrow.

The mobile phone company announced a $22,000 deal for the second year yesterday.

The Digicel Suva Volleyball League will run for 18 weeks.

Company chief executive officer Darren McLean says they want to continue a healthy relationship with Suva Volleyball.

“It is important to have good relationship with Suva Volleyball and we hope our support has helped in the past,” McLean said.

Company head of marketing Sheryl Singh presented the sponsorship cheque to SVA officials yesterday.

“We are happy to continue with the sponsorship and are looking forward to an improved competition and an increase in teams and players this season,” she said.

Suva Volleyball president Sakiusa Taubale acknowledges the support.

“Digicel Fiji coming on board will ensure that we now can move up our competition to another level and free up funds which we can now direct to the player’s welfare and incentives every week,” Taubale said.

Digicel Fiji would be providing $700 every week for 18 weeks for the league and SVA will also be carrying out outreach programmes in schools.

This is also the first time for teams to receive uniforms.
