Josua Lutunaraga was happy after his daughter performed as anticipated during the Ba Primary Schools Athletics meet at Govind Park in Ba yesterday.

The Lewa Sewa goalkeeper (GK) and Naloto District School student Lusiana Ratulevu clocked 2.34 seconds in winning the Under-13 girls 200 metres.

“My daughter is very athletic and she returned a few days ago after playing for the  Lewa Sewa netters in New Zealand,” Lutunaraga.

“I thank the Almighty for providing my daughter the strength to participate and doing her school proud.”

Lutunaraga said apart from sports, Ratulevu was keeping up with her studies.

“We have always supported her and will continue to do if she wishes to make a career in sports.

Ratulevu also participated in the 400m and 4 x400m relay.

Headteacher Kaminieli Waqatabu said the school was proud of Ratulevu.
