30 exhibitors have already confirmed to be part of the 2014 HOTEC Exhibition this month.

In total, it will feature eight overseas companies and 21 local companies which will show an array of products the Fijian tourism industry can take advantage of.

Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association, the organisers of the event, said the show has received a lot of support from the business organisations with Vodafone Fiji as Gold Sponsors.

Association executive officer, Chanelle Zoing confirmed: “Response was slow initially. However because these suppliers know the benefits of what HOTEC has brought for them, particularly those who participated in previous years.

“Many have come back with great feedback and this has shown with the response from high-profile companies registering to be part of Fiji Biggest Hotel Trade-show.”

The newest addition to this year’s HOTEC is the Seminars and Demonstration section. HOTEC will be offering informative seminars led by industry experts specifically for the trade show.

“These invaluable experiences provide training and insight to companies’ issues concerning trends, outlook and growth,” she said.

“These seminars are just one of the many ways to gain insight how proven growth and development of the Tourism Industry affect the way companies approach design and operations.

“It will also change the way we see the future developments in industry.”

HOTEC is on October 29-31 at the Sofitel Fiji Resort, Denarau.

Registration is $40 per person per session.

Interested parties are to contact FHTA’s Secretariat for registration forms or register and pay at the event.

Ms Zoing said: “The HOTEC Tradeshow showcases a spread of both local and international businesses that supply products and services to the accommodation and tourism services sectors such as information technology and communication, furniture, and a wide range of hospitality service. “HOTEC offers both visitors and exhibitors a unique marketing and business opportunities with the majority (if not all), property owners, Directors, General Managers, decision makers and industry leaders all in one place over 3 days.”
