Students of Bhawani Dayal Arya College were yesterday reminded on the important values they had been taught during their cadet training.

Republic of Fiji Military Forces Commander, Brigadier-General Mosese Tikoitoga, made the comment during the school’s passing-out parade yesterday.

Brig-Gen Tikoitoga requested students not to lose the positive attitude they attained during the school cadet training.

“Be reminded that whatever you have acquired from this cadet training must be evident in all aspects of life, whether be it in school, at home or wherever you may go,” Commander Tikoitoga said.

The training, he said, introduced the basic grounds for discipline to develop a sense of character in all the students that participated.

“We hope we can partner with teachers and parents to promote quality and holistic education,” he said.

“We need to ensure that our partnership in training continues so that we are able to give our children the best training, guidance and mentoring, so they can be better replacements to us in the future.

“As the RFMF considers itself an extension of the community, we hope that we can also, in a very small way, contribute positively to the development of our children.”
