FEA’s Team Kaizen Takes Gold Award

Fiji Electricity Authority’s Team Kaizen was declared the new winners of the 19th National Convention on Quality at the Fiji National University campus in Namaka Nadi the past week.

Team secretariat Bob Mitchell was overwhelmed with the win saying it was the first time they had received the Gold award.

“We have been preparing for this convention for the last two weeks and we would just like to thank the management for their support that has made all this possible,” Mr Mitchell said.

Mr Mitchell said they had trained 32 teams from but had chose only two to represent the industry at the convention.

FEA had also taken the award for the Innovative Team of the Year award and Manager of the year award.

Meanwhile the iTaukei Land Trust Board, Nadi Jetsetters were the runner up with Team Grassroot Stormers from FSC coming in third place.

Fiji National University’s National Training and Productivity Centre organises the convention annually with awards at the final leg of the event.

The convention provides the platform to empower employees to optimise their personal and organisational productivity.

This is through identifying and implementing improvements related to their daily work.
