Outrigger Makes 3 Appointments

Outrigger on the Lagoon Fiji has announced three executive appointments to better position itself in the tourism industry here.
General manager, Peter Hopgood said: “The appointments adds further depth and experience to the resort’s executive team as it works to capitalise on what had been a highly successful year.”
Well known hospitality industry figure Petero Manufolau has been named director of Sales.
Mr Manufolau has held a number of senior sales and marketing positions in Fiji.
His most recent positions include director of Sales & Marketing at The Warwick Fiji and Marketing manager at the South Pacific Tourism Organisation, a position he held for three years.
Petero brings with him a deep understanding of the Fijian hospitality industry and a broad range of domestic and international contacts.
Joining Petero’s team is newly appointed Sales manager Darshita Naidu.
Ms Naidu has experience as a sales executive at a number of Fiji’s mainland and island resorts including Sonaisali Island Resort, Tadrai Island Resort and the InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa.
She has also worked at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea as secretary to the Ambassador and as an administration, research and finance assistant. The resort has also announced the appointment of Shaneel Pillay as director of Information Technology.
Mr Pillay joins the resort from the Reddy Group of companies where he was IT Administrator.
Reddy Group is one of the largest enterprises in Fiji with interests in hospitality and insurance throughout the South Pacific.
