Vodafone has told mobile users to check their phones to make sure that they haven’t switched to daylight savings a week early.

Daylight saving time begins on November 2.

Vodafone Fiji, explained in a release why some customers may have witnessed their phone times an hour ahead.

“This is because manufacturers of those phones may not have released software patches to synchronise phones for the new daylight saving time to begin from 2nd November 2014,” Vodafone said in a release.

“We advise our customers to switch off the ‘auto-time-sync’ option in the ‘settings’ section of their phone before Sunday.

“Alternatively, customers may call our call center on 124 (free) or 123 (charged) for

“Vodafone sincerely regrets the inconvenience caused.”
