International rugby referee Alain Rolland was at the Vodafone Flying Fijians camp in Toulouse, France, where he spent time with the players.

Rolland educated the players on key areas of the referee’s focus especially on the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
Flying Fijians head coach John McKee was pleased with the attitude of the players following the training and gym session at the Regulation 9 Camp.

“We had a very good session on Monday afternoon followed by gym session,” he said yesterday.

“We focused on the ruck and contact zone skills, technique and effectiveness which we have identified as a key area of our game.

“We also worked on the scrum, lineout and the backline starter plays and kick games.”
McKee was impressed with the way the players have presented themselves on the training field.

“As a coach I am very pleased with the attitude of the players and the way they have applied themselves in team meetings and trainings.

“We have started to build on our game from the progress of the June test series,” he said.
Later on today, the team would have two rugby sessions at the Blagnac Rugby Club and tomorrow they will have an opposed session against Georgia who also have a training camp close to them.
