Vodafone assures Of commitment To Tourism Industry

Vodafone Fiji Limited is committed to working closely with the Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association and the industry, says Head of Corporate Sales, George Kotobalavu.

Speaking at day one of the Vodafone HOTEC trade show 2014, Mr Kotobalavu said Vodafone’s aim was to assist the industry in bringing together local and overseas exhibitors.

“Our combined and common purpose is to showcase value adding products and services. We all want to raise the quality and the value of the products and services we provide to our customers.

“Tourism is a major contributor to our country’s GDP. It is one of our biggest employers.

“The industry has become one of the key drivers of Fiji’s economic growth and indeed continues to be the largest source of foreign exchange income.”

He said that communications being an essential and critical component in the tourism industry, Vodafone’s involvement reflected its strong commitment to providing Fiji with the very latest in communications and ICT solutions.

“The dynamics of the hotel and tourism industry demands not only the best of communications technology, but also the contingencies to provide resilience to your businesses.

“Vodafone Fiji is committed to assisting operators in the tourism sector with ICT solutions of this special nature.”
