Commissioner of Police Bernardus Groenewald is confident his team will retain the ANZ Ratu Sukuna Bowl today.

Police face Republic of Fiji Military Forces the annual clash at the ANZ Stadium at 4pm today.

“We’re the champions,”he said.

“I said to my guys the RFMF was honoured they were given their jerseys by the Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama.

“But we will be honoured when the Prime Minister hands over the Ratu Sukuna Bowl to my team on Friday.

“I’m very confident we will win, unfortunately I will not be attending as I will be on my way to Monaco.

“But I’m looking forward to hear the good news.”

Meanwhile, Police captain Setefano Somoca said the team is ready for the clash

“Preparation is going really well and the boys have really worked hard and I am confident that the boys will do well,” Somoca said.

He pleaded for fans to come out in numbers to support the team.

Police won the Ratu Sukuna Bowl following its 25-24 win over RFMF at the ANZ Stadium in Suva last year.

The 2014 Ratu Sukuna Bowl kicks off at 4pm today.
