The Vodafone Flying Fijians had another training session at the Blagnac Rugby Club in  Toulouse in the South of France on Wednesday.

The team had a scrimmaging session with the Georgia squad who had been training at the Toulouse Rugby Club.

The forwards worked for 60 minutes on scrums and line-outs while the backs practiced their plays and defence.

Vodafone Flying Fijians coach John McKee was happy with the outcome.

“The session was very beneficial in trying the things we have been working on over the past two days in match like conditions and pressure,”McKee said.

“The Georgians are very strong upfront and their driving maul helped us as we prepare for  next week’s test match against France.”

“I’m happy with the players’ attitude in camp. They are very committed to the work required and learning and trying some new things.”

The players based in Europe have returned to their clubs for their weekend games and will reassemble on Sunday in Marseille. The rest of the squad remain in camp and will undertake fitness and skills training each day.

McKee added the Blagnac RC had been very accommodating towards the Vodafone Flying Fijians.

“They hosted the team and management to a  dinner and their help have made us feel at home.”
