New Rum, Cider Poured At HOTEC

New spiced rum and ciders have been introduced in Fiji by Ashabhai and Company Limited with the first set of tasting is being held at 2014 Vodafone HOTEC Trade Show.
The new alcohol has already been seen as a winner by the company and those who stopped by for a taste at the company’s booth at Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa on Denarau Island in Nadi.
Branch manager, Dhaman Narshaea, who is leading the team at its first HOTEC participation, said while the new liquor had been brought by the company for tasting purposes at the event, six cases had already been sold on day one.
“Ashabhai has been a leader in new products in Fiji. We have now brought in three flavours of Limbrini Cider and one of spiced rum, which has already become a fast seller for us. This has been brought in from the UK by us.”
2011 saw Lambrini launch a new range of fruit ciders developed specifically with women in mind.
The perfect move for a female orientated-brand expert in light, fruity, sparkling drinks.
Lambrini Cider is available in three flavours: Strawberry & Elderflower, Blackberry & Raspberry and Cherry & Apple.
The spiced rum, also from UK, has also become a hit amongst executive chefs who are participating in the Moffat Salon Culinaire at the same venue.
“The spiced rum which comes in cardamom, vanilla and infused with other similar spices can either be used in desserts, on the rocks or with dinner,” Mr Narshaea said.
“It’s distinct spice infused flavour gives it a very different taste and works well in desserts as well.”
Mr Narshaea said they have already started receiving orders from chefs for the spiced rum.
About Vodafone HOTEC Trade Show, Mr Narshaea said while this was the first time Ashabhai had participated in the event, they will certainly be back next year.
