Companies With Best HR Practices To Be Identified

Nine individuals and companies will tonight be recognised for having best human resource practices instilled at their organisations.
Fiji Human Resources Institute president Balbeer Singh said human resources was a critical aspect in any organisation. The FHRI was in the forefront of ensuring its members are on top of their game regarding HR issues.
The eighth Fiji Human Resources Institute Annual Convention is currently underway at the Westin Denarau Island Resort and Spa, Denarau, Nadi.
During this conference three young human resources personnel, three senior human resources managers and three companies will be shortlisted and awarded with gold, silver and bronze medals for best human resources practices.
The awards night will be held during the gala dinner tonight.
Mr Singh said this was an initiative to drive HR personnel, managers and companies to strive for best HR practices.
He said the human resources of any organisation were critical. It was very important that HR officials from various organisations meet to discuss their issues and find solutions to problems they may deal with in their respective companies.
Mr Singh said the objective of the annual gathering was also to ensure nothing but the best HR practices are instilled in organisations across the nation.
One way of achieving this, he said, was to have human resources personnel sharing their views and ideas.
