A 43-year-old man of Bau Road, Cautata, Tailevu, died last Friday after the vehicle he was driving veered off the road in Nabua near Suva City.

Fiji Police Force spokeswoman Ana Naisoro said the incident occurred at Yarawa Road when the carrier driven by the victim veered off the road and entered the compound of a 39-year-old man before coming to a stop.

“Upon arrival at the scene, the driver was found unconscious and he was then conveyed to the Colonial War Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival,” Ms Naisoro said.

She said investigations were still continuing.

Meanwhile, the case has not been classified as a road fatality until the post mortem is conducted.
