Deliver, Police Prosecutors Told

The Fiji Police Force Prosecution Unit should deliver says Chief Magistrate Usaia Rativili.

He made the comment while opening the Police Prosecutors’ course held at the Fiji Revenue and Customs Authority (FRCA) training room in Nasese, Suva, on Monday.

He said the final end of Police work and all the good work done by the investigating unit would be rendered useless if prosecutors failed to deliver.

Mr Ratuvili said prosecutors needed to know their functions and roles because they would be dealing with all cases like traffic, assaults and occasionally serious offences.

“You need to be ready at all times as a prosecutor to deal with any docket that will be given to you. After this workshop you should be able to deliver,” Mr Ratuvili said.

He also warned them not to be disheartened if they were scolded at times by the magistrate. The workshop will last for four weeks.
