FBC Win Is A First

Fiji Broadcasting Corporation (FBC) received the Fiji Business Excellence Prize Award at Fiji National University’s Fiji Business Excellence Awards held at Sheraton Fiji Resort last night.

A first for the company and a first for a media organisation, the award was presented by the President, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau, and was received by FBC chief executive officer Riyaz Sayed-Khaiyum.

Mr Sayed-Khaiyum dedicated the award to his team- the FBC family.

“All we ever wanted was to be a media organisation that was going to be recognised as the best in Fiji,” he said.

“We wanted our service to all Fijians to inform, educate and entertains to be world class. We wanted FBC to once again become a household name through sheer passion and dedication.”

As the company turns three on November 25, Mr Sayed-Khaiyum revealed that bigger and better service from the company was to come.

“We will continue to focus on creating value for customers; to develop new products and services and strive hard to fulfill increasing customer expectations.

“We will persist in aiming for big goals and set distinctive directions and strategies in the FBC tradition. One that involves all in an environment that draws the best from each team member to achieve great things for ourselves and Fiji,” he said.
