Nemani Joins Western Force

Maritino Nemani (Jnr) saluted his dad Maritino Nemani Snr for being his mentor in his successful rugby career.
Nemani signed up with Western Force and is the latest Fijian player to be part of next year’s Super Rugby competition.
He told SUNsports from New Zealand yesterday that his dad, a former national football captain was a great motivator and always pushed him to go the extra mile.
“ Even though dad played soccer he had a big influence in my rugby career,” Nemani said.
“I’m a proud Fijian and to see Fijians playing around the world has pushed me to work harder. I enjoy watching outstanding performances from the likes of Joe Rokocoko Sitiveni Sivivatu and Rupeni Caucau.”
Nemani said he is excited to be with the Force and it’s just another opportunity of playing Super Rugby.
“It is always an achievement, it is the best rugby competition in the world and to be part of it is really exciting. Next year’s season will showcase a lot of young talents coming through from the ITM Cup,” he said.
Western Force head coach Michael Foley rated Nemani as a strong winger.
