The Women of the West (WOW) Business Network in Nadi raised $12,226 for the Fiji Alliance for Mental Health (FAMH).

The president of the Women of the West Business Network, Mitimiti Dreunamisimisi, said the money was raised after various fundraising activities staged in Nadi in recent months.

“The funds raised will greatly assist FAMH with administration costs including printing of brochures and pamphlets, in their efforts to spread further awareness of mental health issues throughout Fiji,” Ms Dreunamisimisi said.

The fundraising activities included a gala luncheon attended by FAMH patron, the First Lady, Adi Koila Mara Nailatikau.

“The luncheon was accompanied by a trivia quiz afternoon. The amount collected has been presented to FAMH,” she said.
