Standard Concrete won the Humes 2014 Businesshouse competition after beating Renagade 12-11 n the final at the Suva Bowling Club on Thursday.

Suva Bowling Club manager Sanjeevan Nair says the purpose of the businesshouse competition is to help grow the sport and promote good health.

“It is also good for the businesshouses to be involved in sports and to keep fit and healthy, while at the same time having team bonding, so it is a win, win for everyone.

“This is one major way also for those who do not know anything about bowls, a chance to learn the sport and how to play it.”

In the Plate final Humes beat Merchant Finance 14-9, runners up was Fiji Development Bank One which beat ANZ 20-13.

In the Bowl final, Bank of Baroda narrowly beat FASANOC 13-12, runners up was FINTEL which o beat Market Development 22-14.

While in the Spoon final, BSP beat Copra Millers 12-11, runners up was Australia Embassy who beat Westpac 17-14.
