Talatoka Daucakacaka of Annesley Methodist Infant School in Suva was happy to perform a meke with her friends during her school’s concert at the Suva Civic Centre yesterday.

“I love performing different kinds of dances and this year I’ll be performing a meke,” the Year Three student said.

Her grandmother, Selai Mate, 55, said she was really proud of Talatoka because she was a very bright student.

“She loves performing different kinds of dances and learning about different cultures,” Ms Mate said.

She said not only was she impressed with her meke but she was happy that her grandaughter also received her certificate.

Talatoka who will be moving to Year Four next year said she wanted to become a nurse later in life.
