The Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption labelled the supposedly leaked official documents as “unauthentic”. FICAC public relations officer, Nandni Vandhana confirmed that the supposedly leaked FICAC documents purporting to be from their investigation into the Ministry of Health are not authentic.

Documents, claiming to be from within FICAC, were published on blogsites claiming details of a supposed FICAC investigation at the Ministry of Health.

While it has been confirmed by FICAC that they are investigating allegations, the documents published on the blogsites are not real FICAC documents, Ms Vandhana said.

The commission’s officials have also confirmed that their information technology team worked around the clock to check on the documents.

It has also been confirmed that the documents’ on the blogsites had been forged.
