Fiji Under-20 Geared Up

The Vodafone Fiji Under-20 soccer side is geared up to play their first game of the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) President’s Cup against Vanuatu’s Amicale FC.

The two team will clash at the Trusts Arena in Auckland, New Zealand, at 7.30pm today.
Fiji U20 assistant coach Shalendra Lal said they are ready for the challenge.

“We are going into the OFC President’s Cup to do our best as we have prepared well,” Lal said.

After their successful unbeaten tour to Australia the team will be out to repeat its performance in the OFC tourney as a build up to 2015 FIFA U20 World Cup.

“We are happy with our performance during the Australia tour,” Lal said.

“We are improving on the technical aspect of the game and this competition will allow the players to identify areas we can improve on.”

The U20 side have been training well under the guidance of coach Ravinesh Kumar and technical advisor Frank Farina.
