Nazban Razak, 87, is having nightmares after witnessing an alleged murder at their family home in Wailailai, Ba last Sunday.

A man allegedly stabbed her daughter-in-law, Maimun Nisha, 47, with multiple wounds on the chest and on the neck.

Ms Razak, a great grandmother who resides in Brisbane, Australia, had just arrived in the country for her annual family visit last Tuesday and was forced to witness such a painfully horrific incident.

“I was sitting at the back porch of the house when (Maimun) came and hugged and kissed me as we have not met for a long time,” Ms Razak said.

“I didn’t know what happened but  Maimun suddenly cried out that a man stabbed her then I saw blood gushing from her neck and from her chest. I shouted to the rest of the family and I gave a cloth to stop the bleeding would end but it was too late.

“I just cannot sleep. It is too hard to imagine what I saw with my own eyes,” a tearful Ms Razak said.
Nisha was rushed to the Ba Mission Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Meawnile, the man is currently in custody at the Ba Police Station and is expected to appear before the High Court in Lautoka today.
