Support Your Children, Parents Urged

Parents of the Fiji LDS (Latter-day Saints) Church College were yesterday reminded to support their children to help them succeed in their education.
The Fiji Sun managing editor Training, Nemani Delaibatiki reiterated this while officiating at the college’s prizegiving yesterday.
Mr Delaibatiki said parents played a big role in children’s education.
“Parental support is important because without the support of us parents, they (children) will not be able to achieve their goals,” Mr Delaibatiki said.
He encouraged the students to aim higher in their education.
This, he said, was because education was a crucial and important aspect of today’s modern world.
“The world is your oyster. You can achieve what you want if you put in the hard work. Today’s education is so important, if you are not educated, you will struggle.
“Every day you study in this school, make sure that it counts because our prophets and our leaders have taught us.
“If you focus on the Lord, you will achieve your goals. When you serve the Lord, the Lord will not forget you,” he said.
More than 200 students and parents attended the prizegiving.
