An early morning accident along the Queens Highway near Korotogo in Sigatoka yesterday has landed two people in hospital.

According to witnesses who wished to remain unanimous alleged that the driver of the truck lost control and veered off the road, crashing into the tree and landed on its side.

The truck driver and a passenger were rushed to the Sigatoka Hospital. Sources have confirmed that the driver and the passenger were treated and later discharged for referral at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital in Suva.

Details are sketchy at the moment because Police are trying to determine the cause of the accident. The accident happened at around 7am.

Meanwhile, Police are urging motorists to be vigilant while driving on the road and remain within the speed limits.
