Parents of the Dilkusha Methodist Church Kindergarten in Nausori were proud to see 138 students graduate last Friday.

Mere Trail, mother of Nathan Trail, 5, said: “I’m really happy for my son. Throughout his time attending the kindergarten, I’ve seen a lot of developments in terms of writing and identifying colours, letters and numbers.

“It may look like a small achievement for these children to graduate from kindergarten, but it actually forms the foundation of their future studies.”

Meanwhile, Mereseini Miller, mother of Jacob Miller, said his son had always wanted to attend kindergarten since he was four years old.

“He always asks when he would start attending school. This year we enrolled him and I’m happy that he’s graduated,” Ms Miller said.

She said early childhood education was very helpful.

“Especially because he has learned to socialise with other children. He’s now used to the classroom environment and it wouldn’t be difficult for him to adjust when he goes to primary school next year,” Ms Miller said.
