Miss World Fiji Charlene Tafunai’i has been busy since setting foot in London last Fridayfor the Miss World 2014 pageant.

On her arrival, Miss Tafunai’I tweeted: “It has already been such an eventful day, and I am very much enjoying getting to know all the other gorgeous contestants! We are all looking forward to the contestant introductions as well as the auditions.”

Last Saturday over 120 contestants were kept on their feet for most part of the day with auditions for National Costume, Dance & Talent Day. Miss Tafunai’i said: “Day 2 has been jam packed with great activities, incredible people and a beautiful feeling of camaraderie! We’re all headed down to dinner, so it’s another chance to get to know more contestants, and make more friends.”

A multi-denominational Service of Unity and Remembrance was held on Sunday. Miss Tafunai’i said the service was also a chance for all the contestants to remember the lives of Miss World – Honduras Maria José Alvarado who was found shot to death along with her sister, Sofía Trinidad.

The Miss World competition is being hosted at the London Marriott Hotel County Hall until December 6, 2014.
