School Visit Seruwaia Excited After Sun Visit

Seruwaia Bale, a Year One student of Naseyani Primary School in Ra, was filled with awe and excitement after visiting the Fiji Sun headquarters in Walu Bay yesterday.

This was the first time for her and the more than 50 students from the school, to visit a major newspaper company and witness how newspapers were produced.

She was particularly excited after seeing for the first time the huge printing press at work.

“I saw big machines and also a lot of papers,” Seruwaia said.
“My friends and I used to wonder how the newspaper was done but today we finally had the chance to see it,”she said.

School teacher Jainal Gounder said this was a two-day educational trip for the students who were normally confined to their rural district surroundings.

“The students visited the Fiji Museum, Fiji School of Nursing and Medicine at FNU, Fiji TV and also the Fiji Sun,”Mr Gounder said.
“This trip was exciting for the students and will help them broaden their knowledge,” he said.
