Eighty nine students graduated from the Fiji National University – Pivot Point (Fiji) at the Tanoa International Hotel in Nadi last Friday night.

FNU – National Training and Productivity Centre director Kamlesh Prakash who officiated commended all the graduating students for their hard work and perseverance throughout the past year.

Mr Prakash said the beauty industry trend worldwide had changed over the years.

“There is increasing demand for spa tourism and this sector is also enjoying a rapid growth in Fiji,” he said.

He said only some years ago, the beauty and spa industry faced great difficulties in providing the needed numbers of trained therapists.

“To date 725 students have graduated in both Beauty and Hair-dressing from the Suva and Lautoka centres.

“ This is indeed a commendable contribution to the industry in Fiji,” he said.

The FNU is proud to be associated with this partnership with Pivot Point.
