The BLK Fiji Under-19 women’s basketball team is hoping for a good outing against Samoa in the FIBA-USP U19 Oceania Basketball Championship tomorrow.

Coach Dale Sauqaqa said the first game would be good for the girls as they get a feel of the tournament.

“We will be looking at getting rid of the butterflies against Samoa,” Sauqaqa said.

She said they were treating this tournament as a build up to their game against New Zealand.

“New Zealand and Australia have always set the bar and we will be aiming to have a good game against them and hopefully pull a win as well.”

Sauqaqa is happy with the players as they touch up on minor areas before game day.

“We can expect nothing but the girls doing their best out there and they will be playing very hard for Fiji.”

Fiji plays Samoa at 5pm tomorrow at the Vodafone Arena, Suva.
