In the aftermath of the elections, some friends said they looked back over Facebook posts and noted how one international NGO and a local NGO provided media and other logistic support to other political parties but not FijiFirst.

Dickie Bird said that although these posts may be deleted, they leave tech footprints.

Budget talk

Dickie Bird said former Prime Minister Mahendra Chaudhry was given 20 minutes to discuss the national budget with the Social Democratic Liberal Party (SODELPA) parliamentarians.

Instead it took over two hours as Mr Chaudhry had to explain every detail about the budget, which some had failed to understand.

One wonders whether the questions they are asking during the debate have been drawn up for them.

Sad ending

Remember the lawyer cum parliamentarian we talked about. Dickie Bird said, unfortunately, his client has now passed away without getting the money he thought he was entitled to.

Party talks

What’s the latest with the possibility of the National Federation Party seeking a coalition with the Government?

Did Biman Prasad’s statement in Parliament on Monday where he mentioned a Government of National Unity have something to do with it?

Well word from the grapevine is that talks behind the scene amongst the NFP heavyweights are still ongoing.
