TFL, FBC Partner To Deliver Local Programmes Online

Locally produced television programmes by Fiji Broadcasting Corporation will now be streamed online by Telecom Fiji Limited.

This was announced at the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding at Tanoa Plaza yesterday.

Telecom Fiji will deliver high-quality, rich streaming media content to viewers enabling them to watch TV shows on their laptops, tablets and smart devices from any part of the world.

Programmes that have become a favorite among the locals can now be enjoyed by viewers across the globe.

Some of the local programmes that will be streamed include Bati ni Tanoa, For the Record, Aaina, Na Vakekeli, Wasea Bhasha and FBC TV News.

In addition Telecom Fiji continues to stream other local events such as Sports and Fiji Parliamentary proceedings.

Telecom Fiji Chief Executive Officer, Mothilal De Silva said: “We are constantly striving to improve our customer services and experiences and this collaboration with FBC is a turning point for Telecom Fiji Limited.

FBC chief executive Riyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said: “This is a mutually beneficial agreement which also means that many Fijians who reside overseas will now be able to get regular access to a whole host of wonderful and extremely popular programs that FBC produces in Fiji.

“FBC has been able to work extremely efficiently to produce 14 locally produced programs that are not only popular in Fiji but overseas as well.

“This agreement will now spur our production team to produce more exciting local programs in the coming year for our increased audience.”
