We hear a wannabee from the legal fraternity will soon be joining the Citizen’s Constitutional Forum. This not so young madame certainly seems to be wanting to join CCF with certain pre-conceived ideas.

Her attitude at the recent A-G’s conference left a lot to be desired.

LEGAL TARGETS

Rajendra Chaudhry and his out-of-the- world view was certainly the talk of the A-G’s conference, specially after a session on Social Media Defamation and the Law.

Some even asked around if it was possible to sue Junior’s father for the comments Junior makes. Others talked about the money that can be used in payouts. Lawyers, eh.

THE FORGOTTEN

Trust the Opposition to have a view on everything under the sun. Why can’t they just keep politics out of rugby?  Or, maybe they just cannot spare a thought for those thousands who have never been able to catch live rugby action because before FBC TV, there had been no coverage in their villages and islands. Forgotten by the Opposition, it seems.

CLOSED MINDS

So the World Rugby guys really expect us to think it took them almost two months to write to our Government? We hear these guys have a reputation of being a pretty undemocratic closed-shop lot.

They’re also pretty condescending when it comes to to the so-called smaller rugby nations. This time around they picked on wrong people.

Do they even understand issues of sovereignty?  Also do they know how much damage rugby league is now doing to rugby union in Fiji? Talk about shooting their own game in the foot.
