Pacific Cement Officially Celebrates Rebranding

A subsidiary of Fijian Holdings Limited, Fiji Industries Limited launched the changing of the company name to Pacific Cement Limited on Thursday night at the Tanoa Plaza Hotel.

The rebranding marks the achievements of the cement industry in the country and its expansion over the years.

From the search of raw materials to becoming a public company in 1962, and in recent times where the company was under foreign ownership, Pacific Cement is now locally controlled.

Chairman of Pacific Cement Limited, Sakiusa Raivoce said: “The success of Pacific Cement Limited depends on its well selected, trained and resourced staff, efficient manufacturing plant, state-of-the-art laboratory.

“This is also in best technology available for production and quality control assurance systems, excellent customer service leading to long term customer relationship, a reliable and accountable network and a commitment to minimising the effects of its business to the environment.”

Operating the business for the past 60 years, Pacific Cement has achieved many milestones.

This was noted product improvement which have been made to New Zealand and Australian standards.

Achievement

Fijian Holdings Limited chairman Iowane Naiveli said: “This is a great achievement as we have gone out into the Pacific and created a brand and the quality and I’m sure ….we will be able to achieve the goals and prosper.

“With the growth we can say that we are now on the verge of moving Pacific Cement Limited to the Pacific and to the world.”
