Last Friday (October 24), 2015 Rugby World Cup sponsors DHL launched a new promotion where by a selected child from Fiji will be sent to next year’s Rugby World Cup to Place the match ball for the very first match between Fiji and England on September 18, 2015.

DHL Country Manager Mark Komene and his team proudly launched the DHL Rugby World Cup Match Ball Delivery Promotion at John Wesley Primary School last Friday.

The promotion will allow a child from Fiji between the ages of 8 to 15 to participate in this competition and by writing 20 sentences on why he or she should be selected to place the match ball at next year’s rugby world cup.

DHL Country Manager Mark Komeve mentioned, “DHL Fiji is also proud to sponsor rugby teams in Fiji at the local level and to see how these Fijian boys become world class elite rugby players”.

Fiji Rugby Union Development Manger Sale Sorovaki was also present at the launch showing support to the promotion and more so children development through rugby.

Sale explained “this Rugby World Cup Match Ball delivery would help get the message of rugby to schools that aren’t participating in any organised rugby competitions and also girls who wish to join the sport”.

The promotion entries opened on the 26th and will close on November 30, 2014. Children were encouraged to participate in the competition because this is a rare opportunity that offers the selected child a lot of experience and exposure to the world beyond our shores.
