Water Disruption In Suva

Residents of Nailuva Road are hoping that water supply normalises soon.

This is after two water trunk lines were damaged in the weekend by major landslides at Savura Hills, in Colo-i-Suva.

Karun Wati says the family has had difficulty with the water cut and low pressure as it had made family members late to work.

“Yesterday morning the water pressure was very low and by midday there was no water in our area,” she said.

“We have three members in our house working and they were late for work yesterday morning.”

She thanked Water Authority of Fiji (WAF),  for the water trucks carting water in their area.

“The water trucks have already started making rounds and we are hopeful that the water pipes will be restored soon.”

The WAF, in a statement, assures people that work on the pipes is expected to finish by the weekend.

Meanwhile, the people are reminded to be patient as the authority works to normalise the situation.

People are also reminded to boil drinking water.
