Companies Team Up To Give Christmas Spirit To Cancer Kids

Christmas came early for children who are battling cancer and survivors with gifts sponsored by local organisations and heartwarming medleys by group band, Common Kings.

Tanoa Hotel Group, Vodafone Fiji, FBC TV and Island Vibes hosted the children with fun-filled afternoon activities at Tanoa Plaza in Suva.

For Tanoa Hotels the event only added to their commitment in fighting cancer.

This was part of its memorandum of understanding signed in October between Tanoa Hotel and the Fiji Cancer Society.

The initiative extended the Tanoa Hotel Group’s commitment and support to the society for the Pinktober initiative for three years.

Tanoa Plaza Hotel Suva general manager Mere Rakoroi said it’s not just about the Pinktober month, it was about giving back to the community.

For the 35 children, their faces lit up when the gifts presented to them while listening to some cool and calming tunes from Common Kings.

Meanwhile Common Kings performs tomorrow and Sunday night at the Vodafone Arena.

They are staying at Tanoa Plaza Hotel.
