HFC Bank is making efforts to lower costs on remittances and thus has launched a new service targeted for remittances.

The remittance offering encourages remittances from a global perspective to be received in foreign currency and credited into a local currency account.

This is so that people of Fiji (both local and expatriates) can enjoy special rates, that help minimise remittance costs.

But because of market volatility, these special rates are at the sole discretion of the HFC Bank.

“Nevertheless a first for Fiji customers to enjoy special foreign exchange rates,” the bank said.

“Moreso we would like these funds to be credited directly to a HFC Bank FJD account of your choice.

“We understand that these funds could be managed better via direct loan repayments or to a savings account and directly to HFC Bank.”

Savings and other products

HFC Bank also encourage savings thus has various accounts to suit the different client needs in various cheque or savings accounts and for senior citizen’s.

“We also understand there is uncertainty in life and as such have various insurance products to shield you from the harsh realities of life,” the bank said.

“For example, a mortgage protection insurance in which the debt is paid off upon the untimely loss of life to loan products of; Asset financing, Home Loans, Car Loans and this Christmas unsecured loans.”
