The hearing date for a man charged with a forgery related offence has been set for next year.

Kin Ho Lo allegedly manufactured fake Fijian passports with fake United States visas. He appeared before Justice Salesi Temo yesterday on extradition matters.

Kin is alleged to have produced the fake passports and visas and sold them. The alleged fake documents were discovered in the US and authorities notified their Fijian counterparts.

Kin was then arrested in the country. An application by US authorities to extradite Kin was earlier made.

The court heard that Kin was a Fijian citizen and was operating a nightclub and shop in Suva.

Justice Temo had ordered for submissions to be made by prosecution by January 9.

The judge said Kin could  make another bail application after his first bail application was refused.

The reason for rejection was not given. Justice Temo said he would give the reason next year when the case is called for hearing.

Hearing date has been February 3 2015.
