Suva Football Gets Backing For CVC

Fastkill Pest Control Services has come onboard to sponsor Suva Football for the upcoming 2015 Champion versus Champion (CVC) against Ba.

Suva Football president Mahendra Prasad said Suva’s performance being on par in competitions, has generated a lot of interest from fans and sponsors.

“I’d like to thank the directors of Fastkill for this great support they have given for the Champions league,” Prasad said.

“For the last six years as president this is the first year I’ve seen people coming forth to support Suva and the result itself will reflect why people should support Suva.

“We are rated the number one team for winning the Inter-District Championship, National Football League and qualifying for the semi-finals in the Battle of the Giants and finals in the Fiji FACT and we are the only team in the Pacific Cup who qualified for the semi-finals.

“Soccer is alive in Suva and people are supporting now because of our continued performance. In previous years the support wasn’t there but now there is a huge number of supports for the team.”

Suva Football have all the major tournaments sponsored for except the BOG and Fiji FACT but Fastkill’s involvement will boost the team.

“With Fastkill coming on board it will boost the preparation for the CVC and we are looking forward to it.” Prasad said.

Meanwhile, Fastkill Pest Control Services director Vinay Chand said it is an honour to sponsor the Suva team.

“It gives me great pleasure to sponsor the Suva team for next year’s Champion versus Champion against Ba,” Chand said.

“This year the Suva team has been very consistent in winning the IDC, National League and qualifying for the O’League. For the past how many years we have been looking forward for the Suva team to winning all the teams so this will give us good mileage.”

The Suva team will start preparations on January 5.
