Miss World Fiji Charlene Tafuna’i finally is back home for Christmas after weeks of travelling and competing in the Miss World Pageant in London.

Miss Tafuna’i, will celebrate her 21st birthday on Boxing Day. She arrived into the country yesterday after representing Fiji.

“It was an incredible experience and a dream come true to be in London,” Miss Tafuna’i said.

She said at pageant she showcased and incorporated what Fiji had to offer.

“I made a lot of friends and learned so many things about myself as a young woman. There were a lot of lessons and inspirational people, especially the other girls,” she said.

One of her proud moments was when she was named in the top 27 because of the Beauty with a Purpose project where she had raised $53, 900.

“It was a tough competition. I hardly heard my name, but was called Fiji.

“I thank the Fijian people for their support on my social media pages; all the Fijians came out in numbers in London and the Fiji Sun for putting me on the front page which was really motivating.”

She hopes more time could be used to prepare the next Miss World Fiji in coming years as she only had couple of months compared to her fellow competitors.

Her parents, Mabel and Michael, thanked all the supporters including their respective employers Fiji Airway and Air Terminal Services.
