The Arts Village in Pacific Harbour is expected to come alive from noon today to 1am tomorrow as the Reggae Bash takes centre stage at the Tiki Pool Bar.

It is part of the New Generation Development Project and will feature guest artists like veteran Freddy Moore, New Zealand-born Sassy, Peggy Thomas, Tandra Lawrence, Stan Cakau, Tee and Tina, and the Serenaders.

Project organiser William Danford said: “The Reggae Bash is expected to attract a huge response from all communities, tourists within the Pacific Harbour – Coral Coast corridor and youths at large with artists engaging themselves for a good cause.”

He said it provided the opportunity for young artists to showcase their talents with bands like Pro AM, Reggaeton, X-O-tika Remix, Simi Waqa Bluez Rock Quartet playing their finest hits.

Some dance groups include the Jewel of Fiji and the Jai Dance Group.

The event is supported by Jerry Vatuwaqa and Stage Tech (Fiji), Phil White and Tyrell Macalister of Fiji Lasers, Discover Fiji Tours, Fiji Whitewater Adventures and Great Adventures Fiji.

Foodstalls will be available with the entertainment package to make a family event.
